Selected business work

Portraits for people whose work is people.

Four sessions, four professions. Each one gives the person a set of portraits for their website and enough honest frames to keep an account going.

I photograph the way someone actually is when they are working. Calm, unposed, recognisable. No stiff headshots and no acting.

Life and career coach

The whole job here is to look like someone worth talking to. Open, attentive, already listening. That comes from how she sits and where her eyes go, not from holding a smile.

Cosmetologist

Beauty work has to look clean. Plain backgrounds, even light, nothing cluttered behind her. Skin and hands are what a client is judging, so nothing in the frame is allowed to compete with them.

Fitness trainer

Outdoors reads best for movement and energy, and late light does half the work. It is not the only option. A gym or a studio gives the same set when the weather or the diary says so.

Nutritionist

Food is easy to shoot badly. This stays simple: plain backgrounds, real ingredients, nothing styled until it stops looking like food. Calm portraits for the serious pages, lighter frames for the feed.

How a session works

  1. We agree the type of shoot and the date.
  2. I build a moodboard and send references, so nothing on the day is a surprise.
  3. We plan outfits together and choose the location, outdoors or a studio I book.
  4. We shoot.
  5. You get a private gallery within about two weeks, usually sooner.

What you receive

  • 15 fully retouched photographs
  • 30 more with colour grading, ready for social media
  • help shaping the idea and the mood before the day
  • outfit planning, so the whole set holds together
  • direction on the day, so you are never left to pose alone
  • location suggestions
